Apple has officially ended weeks of speculation about an October product launch. Marketing chief Greg Joswiak announced the event, set for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in a post on X.

What will be announced?

The launch carries the "Welcome Home" slogan, fueling claims that the event will focus on smart home products. Expected announcements include:

  • A new smart home device with a 6-inch display, best described as a cross between an iPad and a HomePod
  • HomePod mini 2
  • A new Apple TV 4K

There's also talk of a small chance that a new iPad mini could take the stage.

In person or online?

The event's format is not yet clear, and it remains uncertain whether the products will simply be announced on Apple's website. That said, reporters will reportedly get a hands-on look at the devices at an event in Tribeca, New York.

A second launch may come in late October

The company is expected to hold another event at the end of the month. Products such as an OLED-screen MacBook Pro and an iMac could be announced at that second launch. No official word on that event yet.
